Well, we’re down to eight adaptations. Someone left a comment saying that this bracket might be where we have jumped the shark as a group and I think it may be true. But other than two rather significant surprises (looking at you Prisoner of Azkaban and
Not fair to pit "To Kill a Mockingbird" against "TLOTR." Despite the latter probably being my favorite movie (along with the other two in the series), I voted for "Mockingbird." So good!
This did not go the way I thought it would. Prisoner of Azkaban definitely made it farther than I expected.
As for My Fair Lady, I voted for it in earlier rounds because the episodes we did on it and the audiobook version I listened to proved that trying to be Higgins, Eliza, Pickering, or even Mrs. Pierce is really hard and Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn did very well. There's my two cents. Buy yourself an ice cream cone.
I think a part of the problem is that people are voting which movie they like more, not necessarily which movie was the best adaptation of the book. My two cents!
The results are rather shocking to me, but I guess they shouldn't really be with all of the Jane Austen fanatics. But I just can't see how some of these movies beat out pretty phenomenal iconic movies. I must not be watching the same movies...🤣 At this point I am pulling for Little Women and Fellowship of the Ring.

When I asked my son to choose HP or Little Women he just looked at me and said-"HP, mom, that's a no brainier!" 😂 For me...struggle bus!

“Basically about the same thing” 😂 I heard once that P&P was Austen’s take on Beatrice and Benedict, so that makes sense
