Is anyone else highlighting and annotating HUGE chunks of text from this book. And by annotating I mean exclamation points and notes like "this seems horrifying..."? As always really grateful I stumbled on this podcast to help fill in some gaps in my Lit knowledge.
Yes! Did just a short reading tonight and lots of exclamation marks for me. I read 1984 over a decade ago and I don't remember much from it. It was a harder read for me and I read thru it fast. Slowing down this time.

The Penguin cover is amazing! I would love to track down a copy. I haven’t read 1984 in a few years and I am excited to reread it.
