Well, I wasn't finished, but must have posted by accident. Anyway, we have podcasts for novels, mysteries, poetry, movies, and Tim has the plays, but nothing for non-fiction. Not that I think anyone has time to do it.
Yessssss always a favorite - my family does secret Santa and every year I ask for a Kindle gift card and every year I spend it on books recommended on this podcast😂😂
Now that Tim is a children’s book expert I think you should consider a new podcast in the week where Tim reads his favourite children’s books out loud in his tremendous accent !
This is the best reading wrap up EVER! So many titles for my TBR. If you did these monthly or even seasonally I'm sure the downloads would be off the charts. I'd swap books for more reading wrap ups any day. Also, Heidi is the reader I want to be. Thank you for all you do and Merry Christmas! 🎄
Just posted this on the Thanksgiving thread on accident… here it is where it belongs!
I have fond childhood memories of listening to King Solomon’s Mines on audio cassette tape while snapping green beans. (it was the nineties; everyone was canning vegetables and Audible was in the distant future).
Hi there 👋🏻 where can I find the video for the episode? I heard David mentioning that they would show some books for those who were “watching”… Thanks!!!
Having my Substack notifications silenced means I miss everything! I’m glad I checked in- this will be a great listen based off the books I see in the comments!
The Young Visitors author picture in the book! It's so good. Also went to buy a copy of King Solomon's Mine and was surprised to see a reviewer mention "reliable binding." Then realized his name was Sean. 😂
It’s been three years since I actually read Crossroads, but I don’t recall any particularly saintly characters in the novel. I do think Crossroads is a more mature novel than The Corrections, for what it’s worth.
Please post the list of each!
I found it interesting that there were so many non-fiction books mentioned.

I have the same question! Where are the videos?
Same question! Came here to ask. 🎄

I guess not. I have the feeling they didn’t have time to post the video yet…
Did anyone find the video?

List please?!
I posted my notes above. I can’t guarantee perfect accuracy but I hope it helps!
Is there a list of the books somewhere? I listened while I was driving and can't remember all of them
I’m happy to share my notes. (Please forgive any spelling mistakes, I was guessing on some of the names! 😅)

Thank you for this! I came looking for one of Heidi's recommendations!
Thank you so much! Appreciate it
Thank you!
I just finished I, Julian. I found it fascinating.

I echo Tim: Franzen’s Crossroads is excellent! I really like Franzen.
I disliked The Corrections so I am reluctant to try again, but I can be convinced. Was there a likable character in this one?
It’s been three years since I actually read Crossroads, but I don’t recall any particularly saintly characters in the novel. I do think Crossroads is a more mature novel than The Corrections, for what it’s worth.
I agree as well. I was surprised by how much I loved this book.
If we unbutton our collars do we not chill! 🤣
😂
Tiiiiiim!🧣
I mean, not to belittle your job, Tim, but don’t you basically fly to appointments that other people make for you?🤴😜
Let’s goooooo 🙌🏼
