After Tim's comments about The Princess Bride in this episode, I'm not sure we could be friends. :P
I was surprised that The Last of the Mohicans starring Daniel Day Lewis didn't even get mentioned in this episode nor the draft episode. That is such a great movie!
This was a super fun episode. And makes me want to watch all the movies! My husband loves both the movies No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood and they both totally disturbed me 🤣
I also found Tim's comment about Kiera/Reece very funny. I do like Kiera Knightly and I don't like Reece Witherspoon so his theory stands true for me!
And Iove that you each recommended 4 movies to watch. Would enjoy hearing Heidi's must watch choices as well!
I might be in the minority because I think Gone With the Wind could stand to be remade. I watched it this last Christmas and was making Jim Halpert faces at the obvious screens behind the actors.
Tim, does the Keira Knightley/Reese Witherspoon work if you're ok with both of them? But if you throw Anne Hathaway in there, I will pick Reese or Keira over her.
I think I’m going to make this a new project of mine and watch or rewatch all these titles as well as the ones mentioned that were swapped, missed the cut, weren’t in English, etc. I am woefully underprepared to judge this list well...but I voted anyway! 😂😅
David, Heidi, Sean, Tim, regarding your weekend movie lineup recommendations…
where do you stand on seeing the movie before reading the book? Are there any specific movies listed that you think deserve reading before watching, for whatever reason?
Tim, for instance, I’m one of those who as a young adult totally didn’t get Remains of the Day - should I read it before watching?
Lastly, if you’re going to throw out movie lineups, can y’all hire me a babysitter so I can actually watch an entire movie, or two or three, in a weekend? You know it’s spring break, right? Thanks :)
David, I'm reading Atonement right now for the first time (first Ian McEwan as well) and was going to propose you to add it to the list for consideration next year. It's amazing! I plan to watch the movie as well afterwards.

Are you kidding? I like both Kiera and Reese.

I would love a list of all the movies with the book title included.
Can we get access to this spreadsheet?

Forrest Gump?
This is a great list. The one movie that stands out to me as missing is Sophie’s Choice. Was it considered?

To Tim’s assertion, I don’t like Reese or Kiera. I don’t know why or what that says about me. I do like some of the movies they are in.
