Well I’m halfway through Double Indemnity, and it’s not very long, so I need to find out what happens at this point 😅 It has a grittiness and sinister tone to it that I expected from American Noir (having not read that genre before), but surprisingly dark and a long way from the British mysteries that I enjoy more.
Any chance you would be interested in writing a short piece on Double Indemnity for those of us who purchased it and how it fits into (and doesn’t fit into) the genre as a whole? I would be curious to see why it was chosen while I also understand that it doesn’t fit into the list as it has become more developed.
Fwiw, I do plan to swing back around to it. It’s just too early in the “project” of that series to do it. It’s like practicing dribbling with a kid and then on the second week being like, ok Let’s go between the legs now. Too soon. Ha
Can you clarify when the next KL episode will be?
Got my ticket for the gathering! Hopefully, I won't get sick midway through and miss Saturday, like I did during the Atlanta one.
I did that too. Missed Saturday in Atlanta. I was so disappointed. Here’s hoping we both attend the whole thing in October! I need to get my ticket.
Just gotta say, I am REALLY looking forward to the Trust episodes! 🥳

I will try!
This is a great idea. I read the book & watched the movie and would love to hear thoughts on it even if there isn’t a podcast episode!
So yeah, David, in all your free time…
There’s a great new book on it, by the way, called FROM THE MOMENT THEY MET IT WAS MURDER.
