I am reading the Kindle edition, which doesn't have page numbers. How far should I go for the first episode?

I’m planning on taking it on our weekend trip for the 4th too! Mountains for us this time.

David, I love your metaphor for the humidity at the beach - “an unobtrusive blanket of summery cheer”. Apt & beautiful. When living in Houston, I described it to others as a “dripping weighted wool blanket” - obnoxiously obtrusive!

I’m deep into East of Eden, so much so that I was considering skipping AMITC, but after reading this invitation, I look forward to reading it this weekend.

I started reading a few days ago and I’m really loving it so far! At first take I love that Australian cover, but I’m not familiar with the whole book yet so that could change. Enjoy your getaway!

I adore this book! This will be my third time reading it, and I can’t wait to hear what you all say about it. I have the Penguin cover. Love how light-filled it is.
