Buc-ees makes a nice peach habanero hot sauce, which my husband loves.
What he decidedly does not love is that Buc-ees does not provide windshield cleaner stuff at the pump because they want you to buy their whole car wash. We don't usually encounter Buc-ees when we travel because we avoid interstates as much as possible, but when the need arises, it's a connundrum: Is the hot sauce worth it?
The tour guide told us that the best bed would have been used only for guests, and the second best bed would have been the one William and Anne shared. So it would have been more appropriate and sentimental to leave her their own bed.
I love that your Shakespeare tour guide mentioned the second best bed...my beloved college professor, Joyce Rogers, wrote a book about it in 1993 (The Second Best Bed: Shakespeare's Will in a New Light)...see link below for a description from Bloomsbury. I think it really did add to Shakespeare scholarship. The book is hard to find but it's out there.
Love Heidi's take on the Hero. I mean, it's Shakespeare--ought we not to expect the play on words? My lightbulb moment came when I asked myself about the plausibility of a woman going forward to marry a man who has committed such a grievance. But isn't that what we're called to do throughout our marriages: die to self, forgive, and begin again. It's brilliant. You all are brilliant.
And, thanks for the impetus to take my Shakespeare tome off the shelf! Looking forward to CR doing a Shakes tragedy...someday, right?!
