I registered but unfortunately, I will not be able to attend. Please use the registration fee for a gift to someone to attend for free or any way you see fit. I look forward to our paths crossing at another time.
What church does Tim attend and is there a suggested reading list, or will we just be generally hearing about the authors mentioned and the theme of faith and place. I’m not as familiar with all of the authors as I would like to be... or maybe David is planning to tote some relevant books from his bookstore for us to purchase?
I have purchased my ticket and was trying to assemble the stories we will be discussing, but I can't find a Wendell Berry story entitled "At Home." Can anyone help me locate it?
Please do more of these in the future because I WANNA COME. Isn't one of the lovely things about being an adult is that you can plan to take vacations? This year won't work with the apprenticeship retreat BUT someday it all work out.
I am so glad you are doing this! I can't go, but just wanted to let you know this is a great idea. I have some great friends in the Atlanta area, and if you do this again maybe I can go sometime in the future. Hope everyone has a great time!
While I would love to go, I’ll have an older baby that wouldn’t be able to be left behind, but I think my husband and friends would be really interested in the subject matter. Love that you picked Atlanta!

Anyone know which Wendell Berry collection contains "At Home"? A Google search only yields an essay called "Traveling at Home".
A Place in Time
Thanks, Lisa! Purchased a copy.
I will get those posted! I may need to get permission to scan that one.
Did I miss something (I probably missed something)? Is there a spot where we can find all these?

The stories they are going to cover can be found here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/heading-home-place-faith-and-the-southern-short-story-registration-611478076387. The church is All Souls Anglican Church, located at 2220 Bolton Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30318.
I can't wait!

I want to come so bad! I’m definitely trying to make it work🤞
I'm missing the retreat this year so this will be a consolation. We have family in the area so I can do this! Sounds amazing.
Can't wait! Will there be a suggested reading list?

Maybe consider a west coast one for a future event? 😊
And Midwest. Pretty please.
Sounds so great! I can’t do this one, but really glad you’re doing these. Hope I can get to one!
